On January 4, 2020, Rekam Nusantara Foundation and the Department of Fisheries Resource Utilization, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (PSP-FPIK) IPB initiated its first direct project collaboration through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the support of the Fisheries Resource Center of Indonesia.
"This collaboration is expected to provide opportunities for young people to be creative, research and participate directly in fisheries in Indonesia, especially capture fisheries," concluded Een Irawan Putra as Executive Director of Rekam Nusantara.
Documenting all studies on capture fisheries management in Indonesia requires extra efforts from many parties involved, considering that the study area covers all Indonesian waters.
Furthermore, "this collaboration is expected to add new research for students in capture fisheries in Indonesia" - said Dr. Ir. Budy Wiryawan M.Sc
So that the activities carried out together can create synergies that can support the government as well as related parties in the management and utilization sector of fishery products in Indonesia.
